1) One should wash each of the parts prescribed for ablution:

1. only once.
2. twice or thrice including the head.
3. Without any limitations.
4. once, twice or thrice excluding the head which should be wiped once.

2) The hands and forearms should be washed during ablution:

1. only if they are deemed to be unclean.
2. twice, when commencing and then on completing the Ablution.
3. three times after washing one’s face.
4. only if one was wearing gloves prior to performing Ablution.

3) For performing Tayammum:

1. any dust which has collected on a clean surface can be used.
2. dust from a holy land is mandatory.
3. water is a prerequisite.
4. None of the above.

4) Ablution is nullified due to:

1. eating food with a strong odor.
2. gossiping.
3. deep sleep.
4. laughing.

5) Tayammum (Dry Ablution) is permissible when:

1. one feels too lazy to use water.
2. one cannot find water.
3. one does not wish to waste water.
4. one is in a hurry and wants to perform a quicker form of Ablution.

6) In ablution, the head is to be wiped after one:

1. washes his face.
2. washes his hands and forearms.
3. washes his feet.
4. rinses the mouth.

7) Before performing ablution we say:

1. Bismillah (In the name of Allah).
2. Alhamdulillah (All Praise and thanks be to Allah).
3. Auzubillah (I seek refuge with Allah).
4. Qadar’Allah (It is by the Will of Allah).
